But I don't WANNA go to college!

These words came from my hysterical 4 year old.

Yesterday while I was cooking dinner, Avery in his high chair, Airalynn watched the episode of Blues Clues where Steve goes to college. After dinner she asked us about college and what it was all about. We started telling her it's where you go to further your knowledge after High School. Some how living arrangements were brought up and when she found out she would be living on her own, away from Mom and Dad she became paniced.

"I don't wanna go to college!"

We let her know that she didn't have to right now but that if she wanted to she could when she was older.

"But Mooooooooooooooom, I don't wanna go to college. I wanna stay here with you two!"

After telling her she didn't have to if she didn't want to but she could if she did we decided it wasn't going to be helped. She would be scared of college for a long while now...

Now I have to sue Blue's Clues for panicing my little girl about having to leave her Mom and Dad. I will admit that it made me happy that she wants to stay with us forever. Maybe we are doing something right...
